Went to Walmart for groceries. Dang, they were busy! I guess a lot of people take Mondays off!

One of my Guy and Eva customers won the weekly raffle, so her order is free and Claudia gets to pick out an additional $151 worth of free jewelry! Claudia won the raffle at MY party so her order was free then. So sweet!

I have a meeting at NW Staffing tomorrow regarding a Customer Service position they're trying to fill.

I'm going to be out of the country for two or three months this spring - it is the overseas portion of a graduate program. Following that program I'll be moving from Sacramento to a point unknown at this time. In the meantime I will need to find a temporary home for my cat. She resembles a Maine Coon and is a bit of a coward. I'll need to find her a place from approximately February 1st to the end of April. I'm rather attached to her and want to keep her but locking her up in a cage at a boarding facility is just not something that I want to do.

Any ideas?

On Friday our neighbor (yellow house) got hauled away in a cop car. I was gone most of the day so I didn't see or hear anything going on over there. There were two cop cars parked down the street but I couldn't see who they were talking to or whatever. Casey was outside after school and said the neighbor was in the cop car. He actually went next door and asked the female neighbor what happened. She just said they were going to ask him some questions. So, I googled to find some public records and found the jail roster. Sure enough he spent the weekend in jail. Assault 4 - Domestic Violence. That seems crazy. He's a retired man. He's generally quiet and nice, although slightly odd. We've never seen or heard them fight. It'll be interesting to see what happens next....

Claudia's party had low attendance (3), but sales were good. Got 1 catalog party out of it. I have a feeling the rest of the year will be slow because of the Holidays, but hopefully I can go full blast come January. Still hoping for some leads at the bazaar next weekend.

I went for a run this morning, which reminded me that I'm running a 5k Thanksgiving weekend. (Oh, yeah.) Two weeks from today, in fact. The first annual Santa Monica Gobble Wobble benefits the Westside Food Bank, and all participants are encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable food. If any Angelenos would like to contribute to my food donation, please contact me to arrange a drop-off. I'm home most evenings.

Here's what they need.
Cans of: Tuna, Vegetables, and Soup / Fruits and Fruit Juices / Pork & Beans / Stews & Other Meats. Packaged Foods: Pasta, Lentils, Pinto and other beans. / Macaroni & Cheese & Packaged Dinners / Instant Soups / Hot and Cold Cereals / Peanut Butter & other Nut Butters / Nutritional Bars: protein, granola, energy or breakfast bars. (No glass please, except for baby food.)

We've made some additions and improvements to Notes!

The Notes feature has been added to two action-taking pages:

• You can now add a Note directly on the Add a friend page - handy if you'd like to mark down where you met them or another name you know them by!
• On the Ban and unban users page (under Account -> Privacy) you can now add a Note, including to a group of users all banned at the same time (so that next year you won't need to ask yourself "hey, why did I ban these guys?")

Other changes:

• When you're viewing your existing Notes they're grayed out; click in a field to activate it to change the text (this page can be found from the header by using Profile -> Manage Notes)
• Changes to editing:
  • When you're going to create a new Note but one already exists, you'll get a warning that you're editing an existing Note
  • You can now delete a note from the "Edit note" pop-up in the hover menu
  • You can now delete notes for multiple selected users on the Manage notes page
  • When you change Notes on "Ban|unban users" page, they can be edited and saved with "Save Changes" button

Notes augmented

We've enhanced and de-bugged Notes. If you haven't tried it yet, now's the time! You can create a private note when you ban multiple users. You can also delete multiple notes at once. Lastly, paid users have the option to add a note (visible only to you) whenever you add or remove a friend (guaranteed to avoid embarrassing social mishaps). If you don't currently have a paid account, you can upgrade now! It only takes a few minutes and costs less than a bad shopping mall haircut (plus, it's way more fashionable)!

Product tweaks and bug kill

1. In another effort to zap spam, comments containing links from domains LiveJournal deems untrustworthy are now automatically screened
2. The issue causing random comments to vanish has been fixed!
3. If you visit a LiveJournal page and get prompted to log in, you'll be returned to the same page after you sign in (Thanks, Dreamwidth)!
4. If you don't edit the timestamp for an entry at all, the entry timestamp will indicate the time the entry was posted instead of the time the Update Journal page was loaded
5. Comments with paddings/backgrounds render correctly within the comment box (and will no longer wrap outside the box and break frames/margins)

New FCK fixes rich text editor!

1. We've updated our RTE (Rich Text Editor) to FCKeditor version 2.6.5
2. When switching from the RTE to HTML editor, links for syndicated feeds are no longer broken
3. RTE now functions properly in Safari 4.0
4. An extra line/space will not be auto-inserted whenever you switch from RTE to HTML editor
5. The insert image link now works correctly in all browsers

Sadly, I was not poked and prodded at the allergist today! They can't do the skin tests on me since I have hives. Hmm... whatever! I go to a lab tomorrow for a blood draw and to leave a urine sample. She didn't think it sounded food related to her, but they will be testing some foods. She said it could be anything....but they're starting with these tests first. I've also got meds to start taking daily to see if that helps.

I never thought I'd be excited to be poked and prodded, but I am, *IF* it'll give me answers!! Here's hoping! I'll be leaving in about a half hour! And I do have a few hives on my legs today, but nothing like yesterday.
