You earn extra life!

Most impressive! I'm just guessing that you have some skill of playing by ear... can't imagine someone finding that as sheet music! I liked your orchestration, the way you would pass the themes to the different instraments. I'm guessing you did the arrangement of the themes? Unfortunately my webtv made it sound like a record that would stick and repeat slightly. What kind of keyboard and what is the limit of continuous sounds (polyphonic)? And do you play any other instraments?

Re: You earn extra life!

Yeah, I've never seen the sheet music to Super Mario Brothers... but there are probably arrangements out there. Who knows. I learned to play all the Mario music more than 10 years ago, with just my Casio and my NES. It's one of my favorite show-off pieces.

I just made up the arrangement as I went along. Adding instruments with no real overall plan. The final cut has fifteen instrument tracks.

The drum loop is sampled from an NES emulator. All the other music comes from my Korg o1/Wfd (32 voice poly). It has programmable patches, which I had to use to create the 8-bit video game voices. The melody voices are just square waves, and the bass voice is a saw wave.

I dig it. I like the opening, reminds me of Beethoven, it does.

You just eminate skills from every nook and cranny, every pore and follicle, don't you?

I hope you're contagious. The world needs it.

i must like it because i've been listening to it on repeat for about 25 min. now.......

odd, because I hated Mario Brothers.......

how much is you playing and how much is you sampling? i really wanna know, because if it's mainly you playing (as opposed to mostly sampling) that is DAMN impressive!!

:o)
