Damn That Dubya

I thought last night's speech was pretty good. I was in my living room watching on NBC, and I kept spontaneously standing up and clapping wildly. The first two or three times it was genuine praise, but after that, I think I was just going along with the crowd.

Now, I didn't mention this before, but I donated $50 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund. Having been unemployed for over a month, I thought it was a pretty good gesture. But can you believe that George didn't personally thank me in his speech? Sure, he had time to thank Rudi and Tony Blair. Forget the fact that our country is in turmoil... I want my praise from the President. Now.

I respect Canadians. But I think we've got bigger issues to deal with right now, so get over yourselves.
