I'm Back!

I'm back from my trip. I'm quite happy to be home again. I got in to Sacramento late last night. I didn't get a whole night's sleep, so it's probably going to feel like a very long day. Actually, I haven't had a peaceful night's sleep since I left for the trip. I was sleeping on a little tiny bed in my Grandad's spare bedroom, and I had to share the room with Tom, and the heater there was extremely noisy. Plus I think I have some sort of apnea (according to several observers), and it seems to be getting worse. I ought to make a doctor's appointment to get that checked out.

No one else decided to show up for work yet. Geez, it's past noon. I need some human contact over here. Lazy-ass state workers.

It looks like Danielle's move-in project went very well, even without my help (or interference). There are still a handful of boxes and stuff to be packed away and organized, and even a few things to throw out, but overall, she's getting settled in quickly and did a splendid job decorating our bedroom. I don't think we're going to work on the apartment too much tonight. We're both going to be a little tired and have decided to dedicate the evening to snuggling and spending some quality time together in front of the big screen.

That's all for now. I think after the apartment is all cleaned up, I'll post some pictures of our tiny paradise.

After Tom gets home today, hopefully I'll have some pictures of the blizzard aftermath and the funeral.

Some random thirteen-year-old girl from Ohio started chatting with me. I told her to stay in school, get good grades and not to do drugs.

She said, "Ok".

I feel like I've had a positive influence on the world today.

I'm finding out that getting her to actually spell out words when she types is considerably more challenging. Geez. I tried to convince her that you have to type properly to make in the professional world, but it felt as if I was speaking another language. I asked what she wanted to do when she grows up, and she said either a nurse or a bus driver. I wasn't sure where to go with that one. These kids today.

i g2g talk 2 u layta bye!!1 :P
