(no subject)

Hey all. How's it going?

Things are great over here. Work is going well. I have a lot of contracts, but I seem to be keeping on top of things. The home life is splendid, as usual. Danielle and I are getting along great. We've been starting to talk about some long-term plans. It's nothing I want to discuss here, of course, but it's all very exciting. She's a very special girl, and I have a feeling we have a very bright future ahead of us.

The car is awesome. I case you missed my last post, I bought a brand new Honda Civic Coupe EX on Monday. I haven't made any big trips, but I'm getting more and more comfortable with the "feel" of my new ride. The car doesn't even have a hundred miles on the odometer yet, and it's still got that new car smell. I love opening the moon roof in the mornings on the way to work. The moon roof is my favorite thing about the new Civic, so I'm sure glad I paid extra for the EX.

I've been meaning to take some more pictures of the vehicle, but the weather has been messy the last couple days. Today the sun is out, so I think I'll take a few shots after work. She's so pretty. I'm in love with my car (as Roger Taylor would say).

And as if things could not get any better, Danielle got paid today so she offered to take me out to dinner. How cool is that? I still haven't chosen where we're gonna go. I had a burger for lunch, so maybe some pasta would be nice. Macaroni Grill, perhaps? I haven't been there in awhile, and I sure would like to eat someplace where I can color on the tablecloth.

I just gave Shaun (dark_wolfe) all the stuff to do my taxes. I have a very bad feeling about this year. I feel bad complaining that I made too much money, especially with all my impoverished friends. But, dammit, I made too much money, and now Uncle Sam is going to want his cut. I've been thinking about not paying my taxes this year and escaping to a country without a U.S. extradition treaty, but in the long run I'd probably be better of hanging out in Sacramento and forking over the government's portion. I spend enough state tax money as it is, anyways, so I'm kind of like paying my own salary.

Next week we're going to Texas to visit Tom IV, Denise, and the twins, Tom V and Ainsley. Our visit overlaps a concurrent visit from Dad, Dorenda and Aunt Pat, then a visit from Mom and John. Danielle gets to meet my entire family at one time. She's geeked.

Okay, that's all for now. Back to work!
