Good morning, all.

Danielle and I had a great weekend, although she's been fighting a some sort of bug, so she's been kinda sicky on and off. But we did manage to get out and have some fun.

The Matrix: Reoladed. We actually went to see it twice. And I'll admit I still don't fully understand it. I'm pretty clear on everything up to the point where Neo meets The Architect. After that I have a pretty good idea what the choices are, but I can't make concrete sense of the whole thing. If anyone wants to try to explain it to me, go ahead.

I'm selling my 35mm camera. It's a Canon EOS Elan II, for you photo geeks out there. I bought it off Ebay way back in 1999. I rarely use it since I got my Canon PowerShot Digital Elph S330. I think it's time to go all-digital. My Elph will do for now, but someday I could see myself getting a nice digital SLR. In the meantime, I never really feel like lugging around my Elan with its bag and lenses and film when I can just slip the Elph in my pants pocket. That sounded dirty.

Anyway, my pal Anna is going to Italy for a month, and she's more than happy to lug the ginormous Elan (with two handy zoom lenses) all over Europe. She made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I've already decided to spend the cash on my car. My JVC mp3 player and Alpine speaker system need to be installed. I don't do that crap myself anymore like I did when I was in high school. My brother once set his car on fire trying to wire up a subwoofer amp. That was funny.

So, I'm going to drop the car off Tuesday evening. I salvaged a pair of 6½" speakers from the old Honda, but the newer model takes 6" x 9" speakers in the back, so I have to spring for a pair of those. Not that I'm complaining. It ought to sound pretty nice when I pick up the car on Wednesday.

Have I mentioned how much I love my car? I think I love it more every day. Just like Danielle. I sure hope she feels better soon.

Speaking of cars, my office-mate Chris (cru) was struck by a Taxi yesterday. Any excuse to miss work, I say. Joe is off trying to close a real estate deal, so it looks like I'm going to be all alone again today. Chris is okay. I don't have the whole story yet, but I told him to explain it all in his journal.

So that's all for now. I'll post again in a few weeks. Or maybe sooner.

Grrr... twice today I've been sent the "Palyh" virus via email. Unfortunately, I can't tell who has sent it to me. I'm not in that many address books. I'm not terribly popular.

Don't you people know not to open strange attachments! .PIF files can do nasty things to your precious li'l puter.
