Danielle and I had a pretty neat-o weekend.
Friday night I decided to take her out on a date. It's been awhile since we'd gotten out to see a movie. So Danielle made reservations at Max's Opera Café, which neither of us had been to before. They have a baby grand piano in the restaurant, and occasionally the servers would take turns singing songs at an ear-splitting volume. Not that I'm complaining. The food was tasty, and we had a good time.
After that we went to see Identity. I figured out the Twilight Zone-esque twist pretty early on. I'm smart like that. The movie was fun and suspenseful and a little violent. I'd recommend it.
So, on Saturday we started to clean the patio. This was a pretty big job because our patio has been neglected pretty much forever, and Danielle wants to spruce it up with some plants and furniture. So we spent a good portion of the afternoon on that project. Danielle wants to attach some lattice to the old wooden fence that surrounds our tiny patio area, but one of the posts in the fence is rotten, falling apart, and sunk about six inches deeper into the ground than it outta be. As a result, the whole fence is kind of lopsided. I talked to our maintenance guy and he'd said he'd replace the post in a couple days. So hopefully I won't have to wait a year for that to happen (like I did for the garbage disposal). So, after we get a new post, I think I want to give the fence a fresh coat of paint, then we'll nail up the lattice and get some plants in the soil. Danielle spotted a really neat little patio set at our local Rite Aid that would fit quite nicely on our cozy enclave for like eighty bucks. It's gonna be cool.
Yesterday we had lunch with Danielle's dad, sister and sister's boyfriend... Mark, Angelique and Chris, respectively. We ate at Red Lobster, then Danielle treated us to the movie Confidence. I liked it too. Lots of twists and turns and angles.
So all in all, it was a nice weekend. I don't think I have anything else to report at this time. Cheers!
