We're meeting up with some friends to go see X2: X-Men United. I forced Danielle to watch the first X-Men movie last night. It's fair to say she was underwhelmed. But, y'know, it's a guy thing. Or a geek thing. And she is not a geek nor a guy. And thank goodness for all that.
My favorite computer at home (Snake) decided to quit on me last night. I think the video card may be fried. I changed the fan on it when we got back from Texas, and it had been humming along okay since then, but now I think it's ready to gasp its dying breath. I've been planning on upgrading to a new video card in the near future, but just not so soon. I'd been doing some research on the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro versus the NVIDIA geForce FX 5800 Ultra, and it looks like I might have to go with the ATI. I've always been happy with my NVIDIA cards, and I had some problems with ATI's drivers in the past. But the newest generation Radeon's clearly outgun the disappointing geForce FX. I just don't feel like dropping $400 for a new card this week. I also don't feel like spending $200 for a card I'll need to replace soon.
Anyone out there using the new ATI cards? How's that working out? Anyone running two displays on one Radeon?
