Woah, man, I've been so productive this week it hurts. I'm a good state worker.
My 8PSK module came in the mail last night! It was bigger than I'd expected. It took about 30 seconds to get in installed, and voila, I got to check out all my new high definition channels.
The novelty of high definition is a funny thing. I'll sit through programs in HD that I'd never consider watching on another channel. Last night I watch an hour-long program about these gigantic horses, then a report on the impact of mad cow disease. There's a strange variety of shows on HDNet. Apparently a lot of them involve 4-legged animals.
There are no regular commercials on HDNet, but between the shows they play movie trailers. I don't mean 30-second commercials, mind you, but actual full-length movie house trailers complete with their green tag. These trailers are three or four minutes long.
I thought that was cool. I got to thinking... it would be neat to have a cable channel that shows nothing but long movie trailers. They could even have programs that showcase different genres or time periods. And at the top of the hour you get all the "now playing" trailers.
Heck, I'd watch it.
I'm full of brilliant ideas lately.
