Rooney! - Jarrett Heather — LiveJournal
Jarrett Heather's Journal
Have you ever heard of Rooney? Lauren (lorkel) picked up their CD at Tower, and I just ripped it. I've listened to a few tracks off it, and I'm already hooked. These guys are awesome! They sound like Weezer, but with more Beach Boys style harmonies, if that makes any sense.

I foresee big things for these kids.

Current Mood: surprised surprised
Current Music: Rooney - Stay Away

Will you rip me a copy too please?

In fact any new music you get really geeked about. I need to start listening to more new music. Time to get with the times. Not everything can be as good as ABBA, but I'll give it a try :D

Yay I'm glad you like them! If you like that type of music, cat_named_spot is right, they play Rooney and Phantom Planet and stuff, you should buy that CD. I have some tracks off of iTunes from there, I'll burn a CD for you tonight.

Hi Jarrett!
Do you have a specific ripper you like - I've been trying a few off downloads.com and haven't found one I like. (One that can change the file format, too.) Can you recommend one? Also, I'm playing around with my MP3 player - a cheap one,....do you do all your Music Management stuff through itunes? Sounds like you have a handle on all this so was wondering what you might recommend for a newbie at all this.

Thanks for any suggestions,....

Re: Ripper?

I just use iTunes to rip CDs. It will encode the files into AAC, AIFF, Apple losless, MP3, or WAV, and has very good sound quality.
