I had so much fun this weekend, it ought to be illegal.
Friday night I accompanied Niki to Tim & Larry's housewarming shindig. They have the most beautiful home I think I've ever been in. Plus, they served lots of tasty hors d'oeuvres and alcohol. Sure, the party was a little gay, but we had a great time.
Saturday, of course, was Niki's Halloween party, which has become a much-anticipated tradition over the last five years. This year's gathering was no disappointment. I dressed up as Bill Lumbergh, the boss from the movie Office Space. I was worried that no one would get it, but among our group of mostly IT nerds, I think it went over pretty well. I tried to stay in character, but mostly just rattled off Lumbergh one-liners: "Yeah. What's happening? I'm gonna need you to go ahead and mix me a drink at the bar, m'kay? That would be great." ... "With every decision you make, ask yourself, 'Is this good for the party?'"
I drank a little more than I usually do, and I passed out pretty early, maybe around midnight. No one can say for sure. Still, I had a great time for the few hours of partying that I can actually remember. Yay for alcoholism.
Julie has posted some party pics worth viewing.
And in other news, my arcade cabinet was delivered this morning. It's in three huge boxes on my living room floor. I can't wait to get home and open them up to check out my new toy.
