There's been little other Earth-shattering news to report. Next month some of my family is making a trip to California, and Danielle and I are really excited about that. We're both taking a week off from work. Mom says she wants to do everything. We'll go to San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Napa Valley, and maybe take some scenic drives along the Pacific. Mom has never been to California before, so we have some high expectations to fulfill.
Lately my time has been divided between hanging out with Danielle, working on websites, and playing too much World of Warcraft. Way too much World of Warcraft. But, y'know, I'm still enjoying the game, and I actually spend less money on software because I know few other games would be able to divert my attention for very long. On Sunday Heath reached level 60 and promptly obtained an epic weapon. Out of all the MMOs I've ever played, this is the first time I've stuck around long enough to reach the level cap. My sense of accomplishment is quickly curtailed by the feeling of shame that I might actually consider such a thing an accomplishment.
Star Wars Episode III comes out next week! I remember the day I saw Episode I and thought to myself, "I can't believe I have to wait six years before I get to see the part of the story I'm really interested in." Today I'm thinking to myself, "Geez, I can't believe it's been six years already! The years are flying by and I'm wasting my life playing World of Warcraft."
I'm way too excited about this movie. The reviews are starting to pour in, and the word on the street is that this one does not suck. Some go so far as to say it's the best one since Empire. That's a pretty bold statement. I think I actually liked Jedi better than Empire. Yeah, yeah, I know -- Ewoks. But everything else about the movie was awesome. Yeah, I'm going to have to watch all five before next Thursday.
We should get a group together to see the movie on opening night. We'll even get there super early to get our place in line. I have all these portable devices. I should stand in more lines so I have the chance to use them.
On an unrelated note: Danielle is awesome. She probably doesn't hear that enough, but she makes my life good. She really takes care of me, and gives me much more than I probably deserve. I like having her around. Yeah, I love that woman. :)
