Last night Danielle and I watched Grizzly Man on Discovery Channel. If you hadn't heard of it, it's a fascinating documentary about a guy named Timothy Treadwell who would go to an Alaskan nature preserve and live among grizzly bears for months at a time. Then one day the bears say, "enough of this shit," and eat him (and his girlfriend). He left behind hundreds of hours of video footage of himself living as a crusader against forces of evil that may or may not even exist. It's much better than I can describe. It's not really a nature movie about bears. It's a movie that explores what it means to be human. Or something like that.
Oh, and we rented another great movie: Lord of War. It's just a really great movie, and like Grizzly Man, it gives you a lot to think about. I don't know why no one saw this movie when it came out. It's, um... great. Rent it.
