CAMDEN, DELAWARE - Jason Dean Neitzelt of Camden died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, along Del. 10 near Dover of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 25.

Mr. Neitzelt was an automobile enthusiast and enjoyed the time he spent customizing his car. He also enjoyed snowboarding, playing pool and spending time at the beach. He was a people person and had a great love for life.

He is survived by his mother, Marie Neitzelt of Dover; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Barbara Neitzelt of Dover; a nephew, Ethan Neitzelt of Dover; a niece, Hannah Neitzelt of Dover; and his fiancee, Tammy Townsend of Camden.

Letters of condolences may be sent via e-mail to pippin@magpage.com.

I graduated with Jason. He was leaving a Dover bar called Froggies at about 2 am Sunday morning. He was racing Danny Boles and Damon Howard, who used to hang out with my brother when we were in high school. They both wrecked their cars on Rt. 10. Jason and Damon were pernounced dead on the scene and Danny died in the hospital.

What a terrible waste. They were all my age. This kind of thing makes me worry about Little Brian.

Current Mood: sad sad

Argh.. Stuff like this makes me feel like quite the party-pooper.. I don't really feel bad for those drag racers who get smacked down by the police. Now I just wish they'd do something more. I don't want to lose someone I know and/or love because they wanted to prove their car was badder than the next guy's.
